MOBILE APP REDESIGN

Working with Snooz, LLC, I was given the task of creating a mobile app that will allow users to control their Snooz white noise devices. With designing the functionality, the main objective was to ensure that users will be able to smoothly navigate through the different interfaces within the app.

Founded in 2015, Snooz, LLC kickstarted a project to create the Snooz white noise machine. The device is engineered to create a natural white noise by using a real internal fan and will help users fall and stay asleep.

The process began with a meeting with a Snooz engineer to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the current app. We were able to determine what kinds of improvements could be made on top of existing functions as well as new features that can be introduced in the redesigned app. There were clear objectives on making the redesign easier to use and to help users properly set up the Snooz along with its included functions.

A step-by-step walkthrough of the Noise Calibration process

Part of the frustrations from current app users was that certain functions were difficult to understand and use. Below showcases how the noise calibration, an adaptive environment function of the Snooz machine, will be outlined to users who require more assistance on setting it up for the first time. It should be concise, clear, and easy to follow by being visually appealing as well through the use of imagery and illustrations.
